September 2024: Supporting Immigrants & Refugees

Each month, LCR's Outreach Tangible Goods Program collects supplies to distribute to people in need.
This month, it's Christmas in September! You can help us prepare for holiday giving for the families and individuals we serve through our Immigrant and Refugee Ministry.
We are collecting:
- Kroger $10 gift card - Place in Goldberg or Habig LCR mailbox
- Laundry detergent - Liquid, bars or sheets
- Diapers - All sizes. Check the Amazon wishlist for specifics.
- Dish detergent
- Microfiber cloths
- Toilet paper
- Tissues
Donations can be placed in the bin by our coatroom throughout the month. You can also purchase products through Amazon and have them delivered directly to LCR.
LCR's Immigrant & Refugee Ministry
We work with local, national and international organizations to provide logistics and support to the ongoing efforts and needs of welcoming immigrants and refugees.
Our Immigrant and Refugee ministry offers an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) class in partnership with Heartfelt Tidbits, a local nonprofit that supports immigrants and refugees in the Cincinnati area.
Get Involved
Our ESOL class meets at LCR at 7 p.m. on Thursday nights, September through May.
This program needs volunteers for teaching, transportation, reception, assistance with tangible needs, refreshment setup, and childcare during class time.
