Each month, LCR's Outreach Tangible Goods Program collects supplies to distribute to people in need.
This July, we're collecting school supplies for IPM Food Pantry's back-to-school backpack ministry.
IPM Food Pantry is giving backpacks full of school supplies to local kids in need. The gift of new backpacks filled with new supplies gives children the chance to start the school year with dignity, prepared for success!
Other local churches and organizations will collect additional supplies. IPM will fill the backpacks and distribute them in early August at Mt. Carmel Christian Church.
We hope to collect 180 each:
Please place items in the bin by LCR's coat closet. You can also purchase reasonably priced items from LCR's Amazon Wishlist and have them delivered directly to the church.
IPM continues to transform the definition of a traditional food pantry, meeting clients where they live, learn, play, and pray. IPM treats each family with dignity, helping the entire community to thrive. Its mission is feeding families in need and connecting neighbors to life-enhancing resources.
IPM recently opened its new Food Pantry & Distribution Center, a 12,000-square-foot facility that doubled IPM’s capacity, resulting in a remarkable 69 percent surge in household visits. (LCR’s Mission Fund supported the building of this new facility!)
In 2023, over 1.3 million pounds of food were distributed through 90,000 individual visits. Additionally, IPM has expanded its reach by meeting families and communities in need through over 100 Mobile and Pop-Up Pantries, and through innovative programs like the Fresh Start Kitchen Program.
IPM’s new location is at 4623 Aicholtz Road, Cincinnati, right off the intersection of Rt. 32 and Mt. Carmel Tobasco Road. The drive-through pantry hours are 10-noon, Mon., Tue., Thu., and Fri. Choice Pantry hours are Mon., Tue., and Thu., 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. (Choice Pantry allows families to “shop” for food items tailor-made for their needs.)
