Since our founding in 1971, we have grown into a vibrant, compassionate, covenant-based congregation that serves God’s creation here in the Greater Cincinnati area, regionally, and globally.
We gather together in worship each weekend to experience God's unconditional love in community. We joyfully care for our neighbors and work towards peace and justice as Jesus teaches.
Lutheran Church of the Resurrection is located on the ancestral homelands of the Hopewell, Adena, Kaskaskia (Illinois), Shawandasse Tula (Shawanwaki/Shawnee), Osage and Myaamia (Miami) peoples, and we give thanks for their presence here since early times. We also wish to recognize and honor our indigenous neighbors who continue to call this land home.
We are committed to sharing God's unconditional love with everyone. We celebrate God's gift of diversity.
Our communion table is open to all and our hospitality is meant for everyone. We recognize that we are all imperfect and are grateful to be held in the grace of God's love. We are a family of believers dedicated to living out our faith in hope.
We renew our promise to love and care for each other and our neighbors by signing our member-written covenant every year.
We do God’s work in the world—restoring and reconciling communities. We pursue justice, seek peace and share the grace and mercy of Christ, no matter how long the journey or wide the chasm.
We are the church that shares a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. For us this faith comes through the good news of Jesus Christ and gives us the freedom and the courage to wonder, discover and boldly participate in what God is up to in the world.
Liberated by our faith, we embrace you as a whole person — questions, complexities and all.
We are the church together
LCR is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Along with the 3 million other members of the ELCA, we are actively engaged in sharing grace and love with God's marvelously diverse and complex world.
